Default R indicator on cluster not lighting

Ok so i am a parts manager at a collision shop and one of my techs has a 06 4 door civic single cam. The car was in a heavy front end collision and the motor had to be pulled. Now the car is all back together and the reverse indicator will not light up (green light on dash) it lights up in drive, park ext. The bulb was working before hand sooooo what could that be. Need answers asap so if you know FOR SURE what it is send me a PM or a call at (770) 516-6465- ask for Gregg in parts. THANKS

Really? A freaking body shop is posting here for something as simple as a light on the dashboard? Pull the cluster out, get a multimeter, and fire the damn tech who can't figure that out.

haha at HONDA.COM a BRAND NEW 2009 HONDA CIVIC sedan or coupe is roughly $15.5k and an SI model is roughly $22k and guess how many accidents and miles it had on it?!?!? LOL
I'd buy a new car than to fix it

Back to the question,

Use multimeter, find out if it needs power, if it needs ground, and if it is getting any of those

I edited your thread title. Try to give some idea of what the thread is about so others will be more likely to come in and help.

It is bot SI. The dash is fine. The car got wrecked by the porter. The car was sent to honda and they couldn't figure it out either. The car has 200 miles on it. The led isnt blown. The car is being pulled back apart right now to be figured out. And yes a body shop is asking for help on honda-tech, because we all run into issues sometimes

Umm, I'm sorry but how does a Si model (manual) light up drive, reverse, etc. There are no lights for the gears in a Si model

No im sorry its a base model... I rarely even walk into the shop. As it for being a SI im a dumb *** for writing that. For the problem it has since been to 2 honda dealers in atlanta and neither one has found the problem. the light goes on and off. The harness has been replaced as well as the plug. I will keep ya'll updated
