Icon5 Window Tint plans

I'm going to just throw up % as example just to ask this question.

4 doors, so 5 windows. A sedan.

I'm see guys that do:

- 35% on all 5 windows.
- 35% on 2 front windows, and 15% on two rear windows and 15% on the rear.

I have never seen 35% on all 4 windows, and 15% on the rear only.

Does anyone have a pic and can offer an opinion? Will it look strange to have the rear windows darker than the sides?

ok. i had my lexus done with 35% sides, 15% rear. With black interior, you can't tell unless you look REALLY closely that they're different. The benefit (suggested by the shop) is that it cuts down glare at night from headlights. I think it looks great.

Do it. like the guy above said, it cuts down the glare from headlights behind you at night. Here is my old hatch with 5% on back and 20% on sides. All my cars get done the same way.

hardly notice the different shades.

First of all, whats the tint law in your area? That should be your first concern. that way you wount bring the heat on you. Now if cops are not to harsh in your home then cool. I been tinting since 1989 and IMO uniform tint looks better, keep in mind that from the outside the front windows will look a tad lighter than the rest of the car unless you tint your windshield (ILEGAL IN ALL STATES) Good luck I look forward to see pictures when you get it done... here is mine 15% all around 35% down the whole windshield lol

I've always gone uniform on all windows. And was just thinking of trying something different. I most likely will try uniform again just to be on the safe side.

Thanks to all for the replies and pics.

Personally I like 20% all around and 50% on my windshield. I tint for a living too and IMO its a nice dark smoked look and the 50% on the windshield adds a nice touch without being ghetto dark, also helps a ton with oncoming headlight glare. I love it.
