Call me ignorant but I always hated the paint on those cars. Especially the M1. That poor car. Let's forget the name "Andy Warhol" for a second. Seriously. It honestly looks like someone gave some kindergartners a couple buckets of paint, an M1, and told them to go crazy. I don't consider that art.

 

coming from an artist, I do not like these.

the way I see it, the designers of the original cars were the artists. why change someone elses work?

Good point I think it was more about using unexplored mediums in art and pushing unconventional ideas, I'm not to crazy about the work either, The 21 car with all the lines is very interesting too me, The 21 car was painted by frank stella

Nice post always thought these cars are cool .In Houston TX they have an art car parade every year wth prizes and such all kinds of stuff

 

yeah, that m1 looks like garbage. andy needs to stick to painting on **** other than cars. especially when it looks like a child dumped different colors of paint on it and ran his/her fingers all over it. that's not art, its a sad attempt at modern art by a popular/trendy artist given that opportunity to paint on a beautiful car JUST because he is a trendy artist. its bullsh!t.

the others, however, look a lot better.
