They even publish it had a salvage title, and its now clear. Hello, umm, isn't that illegal? It gets a salvage title for a reason. And its being sold by a dealership that knows this for fact? What kind of BS is that? Somebody outta do somethin' bout it.

Knowing this now, I am glad that I had the previous owner of my CW take it to my mechanic to give it the once over before buying it....
The person that owns the car know is going to give the winner a 3,000 mile/3 month warranty.
What about the remainder of the factory warranty?
sounds fishy...

honda doesn't just send the first 500 to the US. they send a total of 500. each itr is built to where it is going: Japan, Australia, Europe, Canada, and US. Even though Honda only made 500 ITR for US the numbers could be anything. My 98 ITR was 883, and if i remember correctly, there was about 750 ITR made for 98, 450 made for 97, and lil over 1000 for 00. for the 97, and 98 honda only and a total of 3 guys hand building the engine, then in 2000 they got a couple more guys. its something like that. but anyways not the first 500 u said in the the states.
salvage title can be changed back to clear.
for the previous owner of my car....
- the front seats were stolen...insurance totaled and salvaged (titled) the car.
- owner bought new front seats (after collecting a $15,000 check)
- had car inspected and put back to clear
this was found out after I bought it

actually, its very easy to get a salvage title converted into a clear one.
I will not go into details but its not hard at all.
it involves moving state to state though

In Arizona if you have a salvaged title vehicle, you can sell (have
a friend) "buy" it from you, register it in New Mexico. This clears
the title from salvaged/reconstructed to a clear title.
Then you can just register it in Arizona with a clean title.

this just happened to my friend that bought an rx7. the guy told him it was a clean title, later he comes to find that its a salvage after some investigation, and this guy is being watched in 3 states for this. he buys the car, clears the title by having someone in delaware buy and then sell it back to him in PA clearing the title. my friend contacted him told the guy about it and he agreed to return all of the money, which he did, so that he wouldnt get prosecuted, a little late for that though. hes not gonna be around for very much longer, he gonna be some big mans bitch.
in idaho if the car was a theft recovery, or the high price is 6 grand or less, the car gets a clean title. personally i think there's nothing wrong with that. how bad is it for the car if the seats are taken out and put back in. does that really mess the car up? yeah, if the car was in a wrecked or something it should have a salvage title because it could potentially have problems later on, but if it's just a theft recovery then it's no big deal.
last fall my sister bought a 98 gsr from a texas flood auction for $4900. it had a texas nonrepairable title, then once we registered it here in idaho it got a rebuilt title instead. not too shabby of a price for a 98 gsr with 40k miles huh. other than a big dent in the driver's door there was nothing wrong with it. 10k miles later, still runs fine.

What they are doing is 100% legal.
maybe it varies from state to state, this guy is under close watch in PA,NJ, and DE
