HELP PLS/96 civic hb roll cage
Trending Topics
I pulled up some measurements from bendtech when I was making a cage for my hatch, but I'm not sure how it's going to be usefull for you, since you might have to use different tubing diameter, die CLR, and cage design. Which should be based on the rules of the organization where you plan to race. I used 1.625" tubing that was bent on 5.5" CLR die using JD2 bender/die with plastic panels/headliner remaining in the car. But unless you use the same material and bender, my measurements will be useless to you, once again. If you have the skills/knowledge to make a cage, getting measurements should not be a problem. Here's some of it anyway:
Main hoop cut length - 124.64" 1st bend starts at 27.48"-26*
2nd bend starts at 42.13"-64*
3rd bend starts at 76.16"-64*
4th bend starts at 94.59"-26*
This is assuming total main hoop height of 45" and total width 51.5".
A-pillar bar cut length - 80.30" 1st bend at 29.22"-50*
2nd bend at 54.13"-35* (rotate 30*)
Bend starts are measured from bottom. This is an A-pillar to main hoop (no halo bar).
All the rest of the bars should be straight or easy to figure out.
Edit: I still don't see how these measurements are going to be helpful, except for figuring out approximate length of material you're going to need for the hoop and a-pillar bars. Here is a helpful link though, http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/bendin_tube/index.html

dont get pissy with me because I have more common sense than you
....and I am an *******, just ask my wife.......seriously though, there alot of variables you left out .....and people do custom cages for a reason, the pre fabbed ones just dont fit right .....so if you want a nice quality cage then you need to measure for the car it is going in

if you need to ask then they wont be of much help to you. i have all the measurements for eg hatches, coupes, ek hatches/coupes... but they would be worthless to you unless you are using my equipment. that and i wouldnt give them to anyone anyway.

I agree. Seriously, I know you dont want to rip your interior apart, but dont you want the cage to fit right & look good to YOUR standards? Im going to build a roll cage myself once my car gets painted (hopefully soon), but im designing and measuring it myself. Just gotta commit to a good day or two of hard work and being cold, and your rol cage will turn out fine.
