If it's a metallic rattle coming from underneath the car, it's probably a rusted or loose exhaust heat shield. Typically the shields around the catalytic converter are the culprit. Poke around under there when the car has cooled and see if anything is loose.

Exhaust shields can be secured with a large hose clamp, or removed altogether. They aren't critical to the operation of the car; they are mainly intended to prevent fires when parking in high grass or other flammable materials.

Have you tried getting an alignment done? My Accord vibrates at highway speeds, and vibrates really bad during braking at high speeds. I have ordered replacement rotors and will get a front end alignment as soon as I put them on.

It might be the heat shield, like the other guy said. Currently, the heat shield underneath my Civic is starting to come loose, and it rattles during acceleration intermittently, and sometimes even hits the shift linkage, which I can feel. Removing this shield won't really make a difference, I did it when I replaced the shifter on my old Integra with a B&M stainless steel shifter and metal shiftknob, and it never conducted enough heat to cause an increase in the temperature of the shifter, which is what I was afraid of.

Inner CV joint . . . ?

Even if the shield is clamped, it still may be loose.

A bad inner CV joint will vibrate on acceleration (as opposed to a bad outer CV, which will make clicking noises through turns). Check the inner CV boots on the axles to make sure they aren't torn or leaking.

Other than that, it's tough to say. Could be engine mounts. What year and model is it?
