i am thinking about building an ls vtec nitrous i would be using a micropolished and balanced ls crank, shot peened ls rods, (82mm) arias piston, ported b16 head, E85, pro1 cams and a gsr tranny
my question are what would be a good comp ratio to use?
how big of a shot will this motor safely handle on stock sleeves?
and is there anything im missing

All of the last questions could be answered in the "Official Nitrous Thread" if you actually take the time. But since you want the short version...
There are many depending on supporting parts and their quality.
Anything within reason, reason being 50% of your WHP, stock sleeves will be fine.
Yes.

Out of what I have actually seen, I saw two LSV motors on big nitrous have crank issues. I am just not a fan for those reasons. I didn't say you couldn't do it.
LS rods won't cut it.

Hondaboy,
In this thread you are asking for advice on a build that isn't completed:

and now you are handing out information based on a build that isn't completed?

actually the build is complete i was only running a simple scenario to see the views and diferent response i would get. but for the most part due to past experiences last year i had a lsv with type head cams and a 130 and it ran damn good. just this year i have decided to set up to the plate and run more nitrous and bigger cams with a done up buttom end. still stock sleeves though im just trying something out though if i have good result sleeved 84 mm coming soon

I almost dont see a reason in doing E85. U can just do it like the V8 guys and run a separate fuel system and have it spray c16 through the nitrous. DEF. go direct port. Have it tuned well, and go have fun. I dont see any problem with you spraying 100-150HP shot. Nitrous is fun, but just sucks cause its not there all the time like a turbo.
On my old setup I did just what Im telling you. NX direct port kit on a GSR motor with P30 pistons (11.5:1 c/r) stock rods, arp rod bolts. Had a 100shot, and went low 12's in a teg.
You need to read a LOT more. There is no perfect compression ratio for nitrous. Its just like anything else. U run a big shot, then you need high octane fuel/good tune. Same concept as a turbo only instant Hp.
