I trying to help my buddy get his 92 coupe with b16 running again. Long story short he crashed the car and had to get some front end repairs done. The car was started about a month ago. Perfect. Out of now where the car will not start. No changes made. No fuel and no ignition.

-main relay was replaced
-ground wire for engine harness (thermostat housing) is perfect

I'm starting to think the ecu went bad.

The car did have a viper alarm which intercepted the fuel pump wire (yellow with green strip) from the main relay. This wire was connected to the alarm and another relay. I took the whole entire alarm out and reconnected the yellow/green straight from main relay output to fuel pump.

Now a fuse keeps popping. Under dash fuse number 24 for the pgm-fi. I've even put a 30a fuse.



If I disconnect the yellow/green wire and turn the key to on the fuse does not pop. ?! I need some help here. I just want to get this damn thing fired up.

 

start by taking the fuel pump out of the equation. Fire up a test light instead.

Just a shot in the dark but you make have screwed up the fuel pump uninstalling the alarm. It could be internally shorting out.

Honda wiring is extremely reliable if you never touch it. Concentrate on the areas (like the alarm) that were messed with.. the problem is probably in plain sight.
