You have to make sure that after installing the spacers, you still have 6-7 full turns on the lug nuts. Otherwise, you need to install extended studs and get open-ended lug nuts.
You also lose the hubcentricity when you do that, unless you get the kind of spacers that replace the lip to center the wheels (which are not what you have pictured). Without that, you are entirely relying on the lug nuts to center the wheel, in which case there is a good chance you will have problems with vibrations. Not a certainty - some people luck out - but many people have ongoing vibration problems when they lose the hubcentricity, even when they do everything right when tightening the lug nuts.
Pushing the wheels out with spacers may also cause rubbing on the outside of the tire/wheel, and you may need to roll your fender lip to clear.
hey thanks paul r i apperciate it..and kyle i dnt have a computer i am doing this on my G1 and i took them off and put the stock stellies on but just to let u know them hoes look sick on my hatch..lol
It's not that simple.

yeah you prolly were rubbing the inner part of the bottom of the wheel or was the tire rubbing?
a 3mm - 5mm spacer may do the trick as stated before but make sure you have enough turns on the lugs..
well, since the subject is about 16" fit rims so im guessing these are 2009 models.
which are 16x6 +53 offset. w/ 185/55-16? or what tire size are you using?
