Who has a modifry harness?
I tried to install it per instuctions, after I turn my car on, nothing is changed... all 4 wires are hooked into main harness, alpine head unit with 3.5mm plug inserted...
Does my head unit need to change in any menu's?
Not ONE option works.
Also, what is the 2nd blue plug that was in the oem head unit?

Any help would be appreciated.

Is your head unit on Modifry's list of compatible headunit's? Do you have the right configuration for the Dip switches?
I think the 2nd blue plug is for the Factory option 6 disc CD changer

I emailed bob, i have NO previous experience with DCI controls, but Ive wired plenty of things in my life without error or problems until this, so I am a bit confused.

I ordered the "plug & play" harness from Modifry and everything just plugged in and worked fine. I installed my new Alpine in about 15 min. Very well built product.
In that picture the ground is not hooked up, but as you stated it is. About the only thing that I have left to suggest is the dip switches. 5-8 should be on.
Also, maybe you just got a bad DCI, I don't know how you would go about checking that though.
I also purchased the PNP harness, and everything went smooth. Sorry to hear that you are having so much trouble with it.

check the dip switch settings on the unit, make sure it's in the right setting for your head unit. when I ordered mine out of the box it was on the wrong settings, I set them before installing it and no problems.

Mine also worked fine with the PNP harness. I can't really suggest anything that has not already been covered here. Make sure the 3.5 plug in the rear of the head unit is fully inserted?
