I'm rolling down the road and it starts sputtering losing power and dies..checked oil,coolant, battery timing belt is still there. replaced the igniter nothing..gets spark. turned over slowly and and quits..btw the motors a d16y7. thanks.

 

Does it restart ? if not then check for spark/fuel/compression

if its all fine check ur fuel pressure (filter might be old)

if its none of the above then check ur main sensors ur car needs to run

(map,cps,etc) check if u have any codes aswell.

 

nah. tried push starting..nothing. it's at the shop right now. have to check tomorrow..

 

is it out of gas? im being serious, the gauge may say one thing but if the cluster was ever tampered with the actual gauge may be wrong

 

is your battery good? is your alternator actually charging or is it burned out?

 

gas is good..had filled up 2 days before.
battery is good alternator i'm not sure of..
but i thought it would turn on if i had push started it..

 

Maybe a faulty fuel pump? Bad Fuel injectors?

 

it wont run no matter what if your alternator is ****ed. once the battery is dry its done. Get it tested if you're not sure.
