well, i was tightening the valve cover bolt, and i guess its old or w/e, but the top of the bolt snapped off! So only the threaded part is still in the hole. What do I do to get it out? Any help is appreciated, Thanks
You can't really tighten those round cap screws. The trhead on the studs can only go so far, over torquing will definitely snap the bolt. I just swap all of them for the standard nuts.

ok, so jsut take the rest of the other bolts off and remove the cover, and the threaded piece should come out?
thanks guys.
thanks guys.
if you meant the studs that screw the valve cover on.they can come off.its probably just the top thread part.itll come off with a 10 mmm i think.then its got the threaded part that goes into the head.i had one on mine that broke too.think they are like 4 or 5 bux at acura.

Very simple fix, remove valve cover, get a deep 10mm socket, loosen broken stud and replace it with new stud from Honda. Torque the vc bolts 84in-lbs.
Don't use easy out, when they break it's more like hard to get out.

you should enfisise in-lbs. i can see him not reading that right the first time and using a regular torgue wrench.
12 in lbs = 1 ft lb so 84 inch lbs is 7 ft lbs, but if you have a torque wrench like mine, it won't read that low. I have also broken one of these before, yes its too easy to fix actually, just remove valve cover, 10mm deep socket as stated above, and remove the stud. i have a gsr and the closest acura dealer from here is an hour and a half away, so i just go to honda and tell them it was for a 99 civic si (same part)
