Default ls/vtec or B17 Which to build??

I need some insight on a new build. I can't decide on which engine to build, I have a b17 bottom end, and I have a b18a layin around. I have a p72 gsr head, oil pan, girdle, windage tray, and oil pickup that can into either of the two blocks. Also, I already have arp rod bolts (for the ls), arp head studs(for the gsr), and a set of ctr pistons.

I have already built a boosted ls/v and ran the crap outta it. It lasted untill I sold it, so I know I can build a reliable one. I dont have any experience with a hi-comp motor. I need some pointers. Thanks for your time.
