is it bad that my car runs too cold??
i got a h22a swap in my del sol and when it is cold outside my temp needle does not even move. if i drive it for at least 30 min it will go up but it wont even get to the first line. i read somewhere that sometimes its bad when your motor runs too cold but many people say that its good that you motor runs cool. a few weeks ago it was in the 60s and i took my car out and the temp did go to the halfway point but my car felt a lot slower(it should). i know its good if your motor runs cool but my motor runs a little bit too cold, lol. is it anything thats wrong or is it a good thing??
thanks
thanks
It's not good for the engine to run cool. The ECU will force the engine to run in a preprogrammed mode that uses excess fuel (rich). Replace the thermostat because it seems to be stuck open.
the computer will see your car as if it was warming up so itll run a special start up program like ronj@ht said. if it's cold it won't achieve stoichiometric(perfect air/fuel mixture.
