DX trans on a D16Y8 any benefits?
I'm hoping Mista Bone will chime in with his D series knowledge.
I currently have a D16Y8 and was wondering if there are any benefits of using a DX trans. Some told me about how running a DX tranny makes the car acclerate quicker? Also do the gear ratios vary from generation to generation? If so which tranny would be best to go with if at all? Sorry for sounding like a total noob but this has been racking my brain since yesterday.

benefits with the DX tranny, you don't have to bother racing.
Cuz you'll be lucky to get out of YOUR OWN WAY!
In a 1998 DX HB that I helped tuned (tool was running 70psi fuel when it got to me!) went from 16.4x to 15.89 by dropping the DX tranny (3.722 FD) and getting the EX tranny (4.25 FD) and no other changes.
