Default Memphis Audio Setup

So I have Memphis Speakers and I'd like to decide what subwoofer etc I want. I don't need anything over the top or ungodly expensive. Just something thats durable and gives good overall quality in sound. Any ideas? I'm so indecisive about this, theres so many options lol. So to speak I want to let everyones ideas give birth to what I put in here. Thanks.

honestly, i would go with any kicker and any rockford fosgate subwoofer out there currently. although fosgate speakers of today are not up to standards over the old school speakers they are still tolerable in my book. i love my 1980's fosgates i bought bnib. and kicker wise, i would go with any of them. my favorite though would have to be the L7 series.

I'm not replacing the Mephis theres over $600 in speakers in there and they rock! lol. My gf has a $2,000 Memphis setup but I'm not spending that much on this lol. I already have an amp. I bacially just need ideas for a woofer. I like the infinity and have been leaning on that actually. But I question the longevity of it. My friend has infiniti in his Protege and he's gone through 2 setups because they blew after a year or so.

Well as a DJ promoter I gotta have some bump in there even if its minimal. I'll have to save up more for Memphis. Wouldn't hurt I suppose.... Gah the decisions....

asking an audio question is like asking people what you should do to your car.

imo Kicker subs have the best range with a kicker amp. i reccomend the comp, L7s or solo x. but kickers sorta exspensive.
if you want good sound for less price grab MTX subs from future shop.
and for ok sound grab alpine 'r'series from best buy.
from experience i would say never buy rockford amps from future shop. they are the lowest quality pos that i have ever dealt with. they just dont make theyre stuff the same as the early 90s.
or if your on a really tight budget go to like cash converters or any other pawn shop and grab anything that works.

like people said above... kicker is a great brand... and rockford is not what it used to be. the designer for rockford went to alpine. alpine type r's are good to. the infinity basslink is the biggest piece of **** ive ever installed/heard. if u want some advice you could pm me. also if u already have memphis speakers go with a memphis sub memphis is a good brand.

Most regular people are not familiar with memphis. But working for a memphis cert. dealer, I would also stay with them. Depends on your price range, but the Power Reference are always a good choice, and an older M3 or M1 would also be good on a budget.
