Break all lugs loose
Jack car up and secure with jack stand
Remove Wheel
Romove cotter pin for lower ball joint nut
Romove lower ball joint nut
Carefully use fork to break loose lower ball joint (make sure not to rip rubber cover of ball joint)
Open hood and remove two nuts on the shock tower
Romove bolt at the bottom of the shock that runs through the lower control arm.

The shock and spring should now drop out.
compress spring and remove nut that holds the endcap on using a wrench to loosen the nut and an allen wrench to keep shaft from spining.
Now compress new spring and install end cap bolt

The rest is the reverse make sure to install the cotter pin for the lca. Ull proly have to buy a new one unless u can get the old one out without damaging it.

i've found it's a lot easier to break the top nuts loose while the shocks are still in the car.

Oh and i forget you may also have to disconnect a mount for the brake line. Make sure you do this before un fastening the shock

Uhhhh..... What?
You can EASILY remove the strut/spring without having to remove the ball joint from the lower control arm.

That just seems like you're making more work for yourself and wasting ALOT of time.
All you need to do is put some weight on the brake hub and move it and the lower control arm down out of the way.

1.) Put some clothes on. It's dangerous to work on a car in the nood.

2.) Get a haynes manual.

3.) You don't need spring compressors. I will tell you why:

a.) With the car in the air and on jackstands, You take off the front shock forks. Put the jack near the shock as much as you can. You won't be able to get it all the way there, but whatever. Move your face/genitals away from under the car. Watch your feet also. Stand kinda leaning over with your feet away. Loosen the top 14mm nut by holding the shock piston with the 4 or 5mm allen wrench and turning the 14mm nut counter clockwise. Keep loosening it. You will hear a loud BANG!! That's the spring ejecting from the shock. Just grab everything out of the wheel well.

b.) For the rear, place a jack underneath the middle of the LCA so that is just touching it. Then just take off the LCA to chassis and LCA to trailing arm bolts. Put some tension on the LCA with the jack. Loosen the top 14mm nut again. When it comes off, lower the jack slowly. The shock will come apart from the spring.

4.) DONT FORGET TO CLOCK YOUR BUSHINGS!!

5.) Get an alignment after about 500-1k miles of driving on new lowering springs/coilovers.
