Just got a d16z6! I have some questions!
Hi!
I just bought a d16z6, 160 000km for 100$! Great deal if it's in as good shape as the previous owner said it was. The thing is, the engine was in a 1994 civic Dx, it came with the DX header and I was wondering if I had the d16z6 intake manifold on it. The plenum looks rather small, the same as a d16a6 manifold. How do I know if its a d16z6 manifold or a d15b7? 2 things I know is that my d16a6 throttle body doesn't fit and that its written p08 HF4 on it. The previous owner said all 92-95 intake manifolds are the same, I know thats not true.
When I pulled the valve cover off, the complete valvetrain was black! covered in sludge. The head will be cleaned an milled 0.030" with a slight DIY porting and portmatching job. I will also be doing a full porting job on the intake manifold but I need to know if its the z6 manifold first.
If anyone could post a picture of one or tell me how to identify one it would be helpful, thanks!

Why dont you just find the engine code for DI6Z6 and look for that stamping on the manifold. IE. the code for alot of B18A/B stuff is PR4 , so the LS manifolds have PR4 stamped on them.
In fact, in that other thread that you JUST posted in, (https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/identifying-intake-manifolds-2506532/) the guy tells you that D16Z6 code is P08. Look on your manifold for that code.
