once i hit the gas the rpm needle just goes up and down and i changed my oe sensor and i dont know what else to do

fist of all, u providing insufficient information to provide u with any help. the cause of this problem will help as well.

as far as i see u have idling issues, therefore i provided a link for u with a very useful article how to solve ANY idle problem with B series motor. read up

im fighting with the same issue for a friend, and u have to take steps to figure out ur problem. u can't just sit and hope that someone will guess what ur problem is. u have to perform tests going step by step to find the cause. that article has all u need to do so

ok well here is more info the mantence reguired light is on and when i first turn the car on the rpm needle just sits at o and once i hit the gas it goes up and down and it still runs and drives great the people i bought it off of said it was the o2 sensor but i put a new one in and it still does it

 

matenance light doesn't have to do anything with it. u can refer to FAQ how to shut it off

check this, and refer to my link how to do so

 

I think your distributor is going bad open it up and check your rotor and see if theres any torn wires usually a wacky rpm gauge is a sighn your dizzy is going bad. or try swaping it with a good one make sure you put it back in the same position scrap a line across the top of the dist. and the mount so you know its position.gl
