CTR head VS ITR

are there any differences? i found a ctr block for $800, freshly assembled, but i just want the head for ls vtec turbo. is the compression higher than gsr?

compression will be lower with a pr3 ( type r ) head than a gsr.... p72 has a smaller combustion chamber

so the PR3 would be more ideal for a lower compression rate on a turbo setup, i am trying to get a 9.5 or 9.7-1 comp ratio with a LS bottom end using LS pistons and a thicker cometic headgasket.....

In general, CTR and ITR heads are the same. The cams are slightly different.

unless its a 00-01 itr head then cams are the same as ctr.

The 00-01 USDM ITR cams are similar to the CTR. The 97-98 USDM ITR cams were not as aggressive. Only the exhaust cam shares the same p/n for all ITRs and CTRs.
