type r valves?
type r valves my mad... Can some one please post pic's or can let me know how to tell type r valves from any other B-series valves. Reason for this is i'm go to pruchase some type r valves and I dont want to get ripped off thanks. I have used the search, google and have came up with nothing.
I was going to say the stem diameter, because Acura advertised they were lighter due in part to a thinner stem. But I pulled out the service manual and it does not make a distinction between B18C and B18C5 on the stem dia. spec.
The exhaust valve stems have the same part number (14721-PR3-000) for the ITR and the GS-R, so don't look for differences there.
I don't know what the differences are on the intake valve stems, but here are the part numbers:
GS-R 14711-PR3-000
ITR 14711-P73-J01
Why don't you just look at the part number on the packaging? I assume you're buying them new. For such an inexpensive but important part ($15-20) that gets wear and builds up gunk, I wouldn't buy them used...

it's hard to tell in the pic but the R valves are necked down on the intake similar to supertech or ferrera. they also are a couple grams lighter. as stated above, the exhausts are identical between the GSR and ITR just as the ITR exhaust springs are the same as the GSR intake.
