Icon2 Should I run this ECU

I just purchased a 97 EJ8 with an B18b1 block and B18a1 head, with a GSR tranny. I was told from the previous owner that he had an SI that he wrecked and transfer parts over to this car including the engine. He later removed the engine to sell the car, but left the other SI parts on the car. Which are: Engine wiring harness, ECU P2T, dash, climate control, steering wheel and suspension.

My CEL is on, I did the CEL blink test and came up with: 22 VTEC pressure valve. My engine is a LS and I don't have VTEC. Is it ok to run this ECU (P2T) with my set up? Do I run a risk to damage anything running this ECU? I would use an OBD2B P75 but they have the immobilizer. Can I use an P2E OBD2B single cam non VTEC ECU?

I'd rather not use any jumper harness. Also, if I went with an OBD1 P75 I wouldn't be able to pass emissions.

oh ok
just curious though... if you are concerned about passing emissions then why would you ask if you could continue to use the ECU you have even throw it's throwing a VTEC pressure valve code? You won't pass emissions with the CEL on.

My main question was, can I damage something if I continue running with this ECU. My sticker doesn't expire till some time from now. I have a lot of thing going on right now and would rather not mess with the car. Just need to be sure It can be reliable.
