Default f23a1 with non-vtec ecu

im doin an f23a5 non-vtec to f23a1 swap and dont have the ecu all ready, because i gotta get new keys and locks and ****. so im wonderin if anyone here's ever run the f23a1 with the non-vtec ecu?

It will run. Might as well take advantage of VTEC while you got it. You could use an OBD1 F22B1 Vtec ECU, and a conversion harness. Youll have to rewire the IAC valve and install an adapter plate. But you dont have to get new keys and locks! If you find a used F23a1 ecu, you can have a dealership program your ecu to the immobilizer. Oh... by the way... youre in the wrong forum!
