Default 02 EP3 hatch window washer

Hey, i just got a 2002 EP3 and am having a but of frustration with the sprayer on the hatch window. When i got the car, It had no cap on the sprayer for the washer fluid so i basically just shot out water at the cars behind me. (actually, i considered keeping it this way because its awesome seeing the looks on peoples faces when i squirted them when they rode up on my tail) So, i got an OEM cap for it in today, went on ,fit perfectly, and looked a lot better then having the exposed hardware. I went to get that first rear window wash and found that the washer fluid just leaks out the bottom of the cap, it doesn't get on the window at all. I also changed the rusty nut that was on there with an OEM Honda nut just for that extra touch (.60 cents isn't going to kill you for an OEM price) and was wondering if i threw off the sprayer by doing this or if there is another problem with it.

Any info is appreciated. If it keeps up i see no point in keeping the wiper and will probably just block it off

Thanks,
Nate

i got the same problem... its basically a little needle that stick out that points upwards and makes the fluid spray to your window... it probably broke off and that is its just leaking out... i have the same thing just haven't had a chance to fix it yet!

Yeah, mine just sprays randomly skyward. Is there an adjustment possible so that it gets anywhere near my window?

You can buy an OEM window plug from Honda for about $23 (came on the old CRXs). Looks VERY clean!!

This makes me laugh. I deliberately bent the nozzle on my rear window sprayer up so I could spray tailgaters.

Stopped, it lands 15' behind the car. Moving at freeway speeds, it blankets the whole front end of the car following me.

One of these days, brake fluid might find its way into the washer reservoir. Tailgaters (especially those that can't brake in time driving their "my ***** is too small" SUVs) need to die in a fire.

Ya but having a clear view is so much better then not being able to see! Function over form, Honda put it there for a purpose and it was because it gets dirty fast so you have the wiper to clean it up nice!
