I am getting a four door eg today and it needs a new hood. will the 2 dr hoods work?

The part numbers seem to be different, but I'm not sure how different the structure of the two hoods is. Maybe someone can give you a definite answer.

 

based on my experience the 4dr EG hood will not fit the 2dr. Hatch and coupe uses the same hood.

the front end are different hood, fenders, bumper.

 

That is incorrect.
Hatchback and coupe front ends interchange, 4dr is it's own deal. I have a 4dr and I had to wait and snag a 4dr JDM front because the HB and CPE one doesn't fit-not even close.

 

Correct . That said I'm about 99% sure a coupe/hatch hood will fit on a sedan, but IIRC its either slightly longer or shorter. The only front end part shared between coupe/hatch/sedan are the headlights btw, everything else is different.

Yes, headlights are the same. The rest is all different. The hatch front sorta fits but leaves you big fish gill looking openings(next riceboy conversion to come I see it already lol) between the door and front fender, and they don't line up at all. I had my 4dr front end all off(wrecked) and just hung the fenders on there to see.

 

word well i guess ill just go with a four door hood, maybe carbon fiber if i can find one. any tips on where i could get one for a good deal?

 

Get a stock one I have yet to see more than 1 CF hood that actually fit good.

 

yeah alot of times they don't fit perfect but mine fits pretty good i mean all the gaps are even, although i have cf fenders as well. The great part is the fact that lifting up your hood never gets old Just get whatever you like i mean it's your car

 

well i looked at the password jdm one and its like 500 bucks so i probably will just go with a stock one. does anyone know what the name is for that deep purple color honda used on the eg civics?
