well i went to pick up a set of axels off some guy here in fl (kinda shady) for $40 bucks new in the box and i was on craigslist and found a post about a free honda motor so i jumped on it and talked to the guy to make a long story short i got that damn thing for FREE!! its only missing the dizzy,throttle body and header. other than that its all in tack its a d15b8 i have screached but havent forund anything really does this motor have any hope b/c if it does i'll build it for boost and stick it in a crx or something any thoughts?? thanks in advanced

 

70HP! FTW! haha i had to take mine out of my hatch and throw a Z6 swap in..do a mini me(z6 or Y8 head) and build it for boost!

 

will it match righ up being thats its a 1.5 with a 1.6 head??

 

i have hread of these mini swaps are they cheap to do?? , should i just junk the head and just keep the block??

 

Yea it will give you a bump in compression and they are fairly cheap to do since you can find a nice Z6/Y8 head to slap on there and get you a lil quicker then slap a home mad turbo kit on there and have fun there is an article on here on how to do the Head swap its in the FAQ thread i think go look.

Yea junk the B8 head 4 valves per piston :/ basically a crazy gas saver so just junk the head and find a nicely re-built or semi-overhauled Y8/Z6 head

Read the article i posted the link for i planned on doing this when i had my B8 so i have some insight on it..but i found a z6 swap instead so i just put that in my hatch..now building a LS/Vtec

That would Be a D15B7 head. D15B8 heads only have 2 valves per cylinder, 8 valves total, 70hp boat anchor.

well you will not get really much for it but yea its not worth putting it into a car if you buy the crx its basically the same motor in theyre already its even better then one thats in there already so just sell it for anything

 

don't junk the head, give it away to another honda member that may need it.
