civic won't start. please help
I am working on a 92 civic cx at work that won't run. I need to get it running first thing in the morning since I am leaving out of town.
I have installed new cap, rotor, wires, plugs. I changed the distributor, coil and tried two ignitors. Compression test was 170,190,170,190. The timing of the cam and crank are correct. the firing order on the wires are right. and the distributor is pointing at number 1 when at TDC. The plugs are firing, but not the injectors. It is the damndest thing I have ever seen. I have done every check in the service manual and still nothing. The fuel pump is running and it has 43psi fuel pressure. I even plugged up my Hondata S300 and downloaded a stock D16 calibration. The only thin I have found to be strange is that the log on the S300 always shows -4deg timing. even while cranking and if advance or retard the distributor. Please give me any opinions on what it could be. Like I said, I am leaving out of town tommorow and need it to be running before I can leave. HELP!

the dead plug os on the drivers side harness. the plug that looks like it has nothing in it. if you have 12v at the injectors, its plugged in.
damn danny there isnt much left. if you have 12v at the injectors, check continuity from all the injectors back to the ecu.
i cant see 2 ecu's having bad drivers.
ground good on the tstat housing?
yeah, it has 12v at the injectors. i even took the rail out and held the injectors against the valve cover and the are firing and releasing fuel.the plugs are firing and the crank and cam are timed right and the rotor points at #1 when the crank and cam are at tdc. i am freaking lost

The only thing i can think of is to put an olm meter on the grond side of the injectors, turn the car over and see if the ground fluctiates, if not you have an open ground to the injectors.
Hmmmmm?
If you have spark and you have fuel and engine will not fire it can only be timing.
Yes firing order is 1342 and you are using the cylinder on the right, [opposite end of block from the distributor] as the #1 cylinder, right?94
yeah, originally i thought the injector were not firing, but i did pull them out and watch them fire. and yes the only thing i can come up with is timing or for some reason the plugs are not getting a ground when in the head, but i know they are. i just got back in town and get to work on it some more tommorow. hopefully i can come up with something
