What is the limits of srp pistons?
If it's a concern, step up to a stronger alloy piston.I have a set in my dd with stock rods.I think the rods are the weak point. If the car is street driven in the 300hp range than I think they are a good choice. That doesn't mean they will fail at 400hp.
SRP pistons are good to the stock sleeve limitations.
I had a set in a turbo gsr, I had two different turbo setups on it, 60-1 and 3082R for 10k or so miles no problems, 12-22psi.
We are probably going to use another set pretty soon in a turbo lsvtec project we have goin on. They are pretty cheap pistons [450 shipped] and work great in stock sleeve setups.
