i just replaced my spark plugs, spark plug wires, and distributor because they were bad. when i replaced them, my car started right up, and when i went to tighten the distributor bolts my car shut off. at that time i tryed re-starting(after losening the bolts thinkning thats what caused it) the car would not start. it just sounds like the starter is spinning, i replaced the distributor again thinking it shorted out from b4, no luck. after reading simliar forums about this problem, some people said it could be the flywheel not catching the starter, i replaced my clutch and flywheel a couple months back, so its not that. ANY HELP OR IDEAS WOULD BE GREAT HELP!!!!!!

 

i had a situation close to that. one day my car didnt want to start. i know it wasnt the starter or battery because both were replaced a month back. so i took it to one of my local performance shop and had them diagnose it, it ended up being one of the grounds. the ground closer to the the passenger side- it was the one that connected to the tranny and the frame. the frame had abit of surface rust and they sanded it down and my car started.

so i would say check all your grounds.
