Default S362 choice

my setup 81.5 gsr 9:1cp/eagle stock sleeves/block guard...gsr tranny/mfactory diff... built head,.5manely valves..crower spring/ret. port polish/gsr cams... jg intake,70mm tb....sls t3 top mount,tial 44wg 3"dp..1000cc injectors
im looking for most hp on pump gas for my DD...like around 475-500 high boost and drive daily on 9psi...want decent spool for low boost as well

Im looking at the s362
1. what would b better for me between the t-3 .70 and t-3 .55ss?
2. what cams will b a good up grade down the road sk2 tuner 1 or sk2 pro 1?

You can accomplish your goal with the 0.55 A/R but I would go for the 0.70 A/R now as the spool wont be an issue using the skunk2 pro1 cams. This is a sweet combination assuming you are using a ramhorn or top mount manifold.

for 475/500, The .70A/R T3 v-band is the better bet. The .55A/R uses a smaller exhaust wheel and is a bit limited.

The T3 0.70 A/R doesnt come in a divided turbine housing And a divided turbine housing will only spool faster if you also have a divided manifold. ETT refers to Extended Tip Technology. This is how borg warner have designed their blades. ETT spools faster.

Even a divided housing doesn't help w/ "spool" much. (See sig). But TurboS362 may have the larger compressor cover. There is a smaller S200 one available for the S362. No need for a topmount either for that turbo.

ok, well my topmount in not divided, so not going to get the divided turbo, and is it worth paying extra for the ETT?

Action Jaction-did you try the s366 ur selling? would you recomend that for my set up or too much turbo for now?

the comp hits the runner on #1 and the drain line rests on the runner as well. you only get about 15 deg to clock the turbo or that hits the runner to. I am going to sell the manifold and get a full race one.

The S362 can reach over 700whp, but that is pushed over 35psi or so for pressure. The S366 would be a better match for your topmount and can push over the 750whp mark. It can stay in the same T3 flanged .70A/R setup, since it does still use a larger exhaust wheel than the T3/T67 P-trim that is typically used. With the T3, maximum power output drops a bit so that it is about the 720hp mark (from tests done), but I'm looking at effective usuable power, not some peak number.

Turbos362, make sure that when you get the Full-Race version they know specifically what turbine housing that you're using. Most of their mock ups that are used for their kits usually come from BW truck Box units, so there may be a small difference.

No problem Schister. What I was also going to say is the fact that SLS and a few other companies are more used to mocking up their manifolds to fit the BW series moreso than Full-Race, which does not tailor their kits to fit those in most chassis. They are more likely at the position to believe that if one is purchasing a turbo that large a size, having an "off the shelf" turbo manifold would be a waste of time. Few manifolds from different companies ever come from the same mock up jig.
