Price it at what you think it will bling (pun intentional). I'm not mocking your car. I'm telling you that what cool factor your car is able to generate will impact the price with the right buyer and your car does have some of that going on.

The mileage is about right or even a tad low. If the car has been taken care of mechanically, it should be a dream for some kid to test drive. The automatic is a turnoff for me, but a 19 year old who wants to ride around with his hand in his girls lap is not going to want to fool with a gearbox, so the auto might not hurt at all.

The pricing will utlimately be a personal thing. If you really NEED to sell it, price it to sell. If you are just testing the waters, start high and see who calls you. Even looking only at the bad pictures, the car does have eyes.

How's the carfax? Ever been wrecked?

The title is clean. I just dont know a starting point because theres alot of money into this car. I really dont want any less then 4k. i feel i should get 7k haha but i would settle easily for 5 or so. sound reasonable? to high to low? and yeah you said it perfectly im really lookin for a teenager who wants the "look".

Perhaps test the waters 25% higher than the lowest price you would take. You never know. There might be someone very close by who has always wondered if you would ever sell blackOnblack. Just be prepared to really sell blackOnblack if you offer her for sale. No car shopper wants to be kidded. Best of luck.

5K these days gets you a lot of newer cars. think of it, my neighbor is selling BMW 328is 5speed black on black '98 convertible for 5K (150kmiles) so you do have some serious competition. Realistically you are looking at 3-3.5 max IF you find right person to buy.

The economy is only gonna get worse by the summer the market will be flooded with cheap cars as people will be trying to get any $ they can to pay the rent... it sucks

or just keep the car and roll through tuff times in style! lol.

yea 5k is roughly high ... unfortunately you can never get back what you put into it ... nowadays you'll be lucky if you get half of what you put into it ... i picked up my 01 for $4200 ... i'd say test the waters for 4k ... or 3.5k w/o the sound system ... but if your in no rush and are a patient person just ask for what you want and see if anyone bites

Park the car across the street from the junior high. Maybe one of those kids just watched F&F, you might get lucky. Just be REAL man. Why would ANYONE pay 5g for a 16y/o car? The Body kit is really a turnoff for anyone above the age of 14 these days. Your car is super clean (well kept and fresh paint) man, it just has the B/k man. The extra money that you spent on all the "upgrades" you will never get back.
The car is worth anywhere from 2,000-3,500. 3,500 being the LOOOOONNNNGGGG shot.

To me, I'd think it would be worth about 3000-3500. You might get more if you sell the stereo stuff separately.

I would take out all the audio gear, and sell it alone, and sell the car you would probably be able to make more from doing that. To be honest though, MTX, and power acoustik wont bring in a heck of a lot, especially to someone who knows there stuff, look to sell it to young kids 16-20 who just want a "boom".

god i hate that i have to sell this thing. If someone did an engine swap it would be a nice car.

the sound system is basically built into the trunk. i did it that way to make it clean and kinda regret it ha. i wouldnt be able to get alot for the system although i am thinking about switching out decks.... i would save myself a little there.

thanks for all your input guys i just didnt really have an outside opinion of what its worth.

its funny. the bone stock accord with tan interior was purchased for 4500 about 8 years ago. now after close to another 8-10K into it.......i might get 3k for it lol.

thanks guys. any other selling advice is appreciated if you have it

Yup, Happens every time. Mod'ed the car into a corner and can't recover a fraction of what was put into it.
The more you do to it, the more defined it becomes and the fewer people that want it.
Admittedly a Great Effort, and you should be proud of what you've done; but you've eliminated 70% of the people that would even consider it

Sure, it looks nice, but at the end of the day what you have is a '92 Accord with 175,000 miles. And it's black which as I'm sure you are well aware of, shows dirt easily.

I would pay about $1,200 to $1,300 for it, it's value to me as a commuter car with a little tossed on for the bling factor.

awe every one hates kits, why? the right kit on a car finishes a car, and i love the Black Widow kit on accords i would take this in a sec - but swap that girly out for a manual.

You don't know until you try, blackOnblack. I suggest that in your advertising you list the key upgrades, but don't talk about what they cost. The right person will know that the seats are over $600 bucks, etc. Trying to harp on those upgrades as an excuse for a high price will get your ad disregarded. You want to write an upbeat ad that says I have a beautiful car for sale, not an ad that says woe is me, I got all this money tied up in this machine. You want the person whose goal is a tricked out black automatic Accord to see it and think, hmmmm, the work is already done. Not that you will recoup your money, but, marketed properly to buyers who want such a car but dread the work and money it takes to make one, your car might do better than average. Also know that when you are looking for a small group of potential buyers you have to advertise in more places.

you are not going to get anymore than stock for it so you might as well put it back to stock and sell the parts seperately...you'll get more

if it was a standard id pay like 3k, being its ain auto i personally hate autos and dont trust them. They blow up and then you need a 1500 dollar tranny versus a 500 dollar clutch job. Id rather shift my box any day. That being said, if you find some high school kid that oh wow man its black, shiny paint, nice wheels, body kit, tricked out interior, and hey whats 175k anyways its got that boom in the trunk and its an auto thats good im 16 i cant drive stick then maybe mommy and daddy will buy it for the kid. you never know

A buddy of mine sold a very similar 93 accord. Auto, rims, big stereo, and tint with ~160k for about $5500 about 2 yrs ago. He found a high school kid who thought it was cool and convinced his parents to by it for him.

If aren't in a hurry to sell who knows you might find someone like that.
