Default fuel cell for c-16

as the title says im gonna be making a fuel cell for my civic and was wondering if i could use mild steel or would it rust and clog my fuel system. i would love to use ss or al if i need to but cost would love the mild steel. thanks for any help.

You can use steel with no problems, AS LONG as you get the inside of the tank coated. We do this at my work and we use a product called "RedKote" it lines the tank and stops rust forming etc..

AL would be your best bet, though.

aluminum is your best bet.

steel will work but aluminum would be easier and lighter... .090 aluminum is fine
