Frequently asked questions:

1. What other parts do I need to make this H2B Swap work?

The H2B swap is just like any other engine swap required to do to the chassis you want to put it in. If putting an OBD1 H22 swap over, you would need to convert to the proper wiring to make that H22 setup work in that car.
Axles and halfshaft are B-series.
B-series clutch to match the transmission you are using(cable or hydro)
B-series shift linkage
H22 header modified at the collector
and of course the H-series longblock and a B-series transmission

2. How will the ground clearance be with the Evolution H2B kit?

The Evolution H2B kit was designed to have good clearance for an average street car. Keep in mind that everyone has their own desired ride height and obviously, the lower the car, the less ground clearance there will be.

3. How is the hood clearance with the Evolution H2B?

The EG, DC, and EK chassis will clear the hood with minimal modifications. It should be able to clear especially with the PCV relocator bracket. The EF H2B is not so fortunate due to the limited ground clearance so hood clearance was sacrificed.
Exospeed Racing Designs is currently in the process of manufacturing a hood to clear this H2B setup for the EF chassis.

bump! Will there be a hydro version for the ef any time soon? I got 2 crx's in need for them!!! Also how about solid mounts or solid mount inserts?

 

The CRX/EF kits utilize a Hasport made H-ser mount kit specific for the Evolution H2B setup. We havent tried yet, but we are planning to use the Hasport Solid inserts.

As of right now, the CRX/EF Evolution H2B kits are made for the Cable transmission.
I dont know if there are solid plans to make it compatible with the Hydraulic transmission.

What we're doing though for our own H2B CRX is to use half of the YS1 Cable casing for the mount to bolt on to. The other half would be a hydro trans half with the Hydraulic trans gearset. We're installing the Evolution/Tilton H2B clutch setup so we're using the Tilton hydraulic release bearing as well, eliminating the clutch fork setup.
We're also developing the bracket to adapt the Tilton Master Cylinder with the current Clutch pedal assembly.

Thats our solution at this time and it works out for us since we wanted to run the Tilton Hydraulic bearing kit anyways with our Tilton Twin Disc Clutch.

All i want now is my money back for the h22 arias pistons that i returned back to u. sorry that it has come to me having to post in your threads but i don't like being dicked around. and if u have some how forgot who i am my name is kenny g the guy who needed the custom 88mm arias h22 pistons. but not anymore i just want my money back. like u said u would do
