happens when i let off my clutch, it makes that grinding/ rattle noise, the speedo needle goes up when its in first, but the car doesnt die, it just makes the rattle noise

what is this a result of????

i have the same issue....
when u are in say 1st or 2nd and let off do you hear it as well???
if so its a bearing in the tranny. my boy know what it is.. but i havnt felt like ****ing with it since i want to swap it out for a y8 tranny or a single SI one.
but its kinda like a scraping noise? idk LMK if this is what u hear or if it sounds the same. my **** does it to i got a 97 ek its jus the y7 tranny.

o and uh i couldnt watch the vid my computer is ****ed up sorry lol

 

you should pop your hood and get the camera right in there.... helps a little bit.... sound scary tho. did you just swap that engine in your car?

 

yeah, i just did the swap, its a scraping noise too, as well as a rattle/grinding noise. i think its the flywheel or pressure plate. but would that make the speed gauge go up? when im in first i wont even move, the noise just gets worse

 

i havent tryed it in 2nd, but its the same in neutral and 1st, so im assuming its the same in the rest of the gears
