Default EMS EPM and ignition box Question

I know this will be a newbish question for you guys. Ive done a lot of reading on the EMS, EPM, and COP but havent found the answer I needed.
I am currently building a B-series and had a question about the iginiton box. I will be running a 30-1010 EMS (that needs to be sent for jumpers) with the EPM. I am wondering will I be able to run this setup without an ignition box. I WILL get one eventually but I am wondering for now, basically break-in plus another few thousand miles. IE, I wont be getting on it needing the extra power of an ign box.
OR does the EMS not put out enough energy to power the coils properly thus mandating an ignition box??
If I gotta buy one now, so be it. Id just rather spread the cost over a little more time.

Thanks for all info.

The EMS just outputs 0-5V signals. You can use coils with built in ignitors like K series w/o a CDI.

If your not running built in ignitors, and your using CBR or AEM coils your gonna need a 4 channel box like AEM Twin Fire.
