There is a guy up the street that has an EF for sale $1000 OBO. The engine is burning oil so it needs to be replaced/rebuilt. Other than that the car is in pretty good condition, but it is an auto. It is teal and a DX. He said he has the auto tranny rebuilt last year.

What should I offer him? I was thinking $800.

What is a cheap alternative as far as a motor goes that would be a very simple swap?

How hard would it be to swap to a manual?

What about the price?

 

with out pics, mileage, your budget ....ect.. make a decision for your SELF it feels much more gratifing.

 

you can get a SOHC or DOHC ZC complete swap for $650 if you pick it up but if you get it shipped your looking at least 900 bills
