i have a ws 2 catback and hits undercarage around spare tire compartment. Does anyone else have this problem and what are my possible solutions. really dont want to have a exhaust shop hack on it.

 

It's not too uncommon to have fitment issues with the ws2...
Mine hung too low so I HAD to take it to a muffler shop for them to cut off some piping and use their own.

It was only like $40.
That's not a bad price at all and it's worth it.

 

What car is this on? Are you sure it's the correct application for your car? What part of the piping is rubbing exactly?
Mine hangs a little low, I've heard of that happening. You can always get the exhaust hangers modified (shortened/lengthened)

 

it is on a 93 hatch. dont know if it would fit right it has an omni test pipe and a dc 4 to 1, 2.5 collector so it may be bound up in some way.

 

mmm I have never heard of this. I install mine with no problems, never hung low like people say above me.


Its possible you got the wrong application. If not, Call Apexi and explain them the problem to them if you just bought it.

 

I always thought Apex'i didn't make the WS2 for hatches?

Well you can see how low my Intermediate pipe hangs
I don't really think that there is any wrong way to install it though? Maybe I've got that pipe flipped somehow?

thanks for the help to it to a local exhaust shop and found out that the test pipe was too long and had it pushed back around the gas tank which it was vibrating against. was the noise i was hearing
