question 1. wire harness. i have a 98 ex OBD2A. when i swaped out my Y8 i sold everything including the Y8 harness *hand to head* the head is a B16 obd2 block is a B18a obo0. what harness can i use i have confused myself so much i dont know any more.
question 2. after reading the LS Vtec thread im not going to run the Vtec head gasket that came with my golden eagle kit. My question is on the HG that came with the kit the spots where the new dowel pins go is made bigger so it fits over the dowel pins. Can i just bore out the holes on the new NON-VTEC HG?

you need use your stock harness but you sold it
you can use a 96-98 civic engine harness only, look for a ex or si harness so you dont have to wire up vtec ebay.com
the golden eagle kit come with a non-vtec head gasket
the dowel pin holes are not bigger
just get the golden eagle kit that comes with everything youll be happy
search in here justhonduh.com
remember next time to not to sell your engine harness ever again

Well you are gonna run into issues with the rivots, THEY WILL cause you head to not seal properly. I just had to pull mine (LS gasket) and install a new VTEC gasket. I suppose you can drill the rivots out if you want. But I would just buy a vtec gasket.
As far as the dowell pins go you should not have drill out anything if you got the golden eagle LSvtec pins. I did not have too.
