someone told me i had to cut off the hangers if i get a dcrh for my 2002 si. and i also was told i needed to get inserts or mounts. what do they mean by this? lol i know about the cuting the hanger but what about the other part.

 

Google Energy Suspension Motor Mount inserts (aka ESMM inserts). There's right ups on EPhatch.com also ClubRSX.com etc. Or if you're you can just get some new stiffer mounts, I hear Avid Racing has some good ones, or even an engine torque damper would be good. Basically something to keep your motor from excessively rocking back and forth under acceleration so your header doesn't break.

 

if you get the bc header made for the us market ep3, there is not cutting needed.... you do need to upgrade the motor mounts though.

 

I have had both inserts and now avid mounts. If you can afford mounts I highly suggest it but inserts work fine
