ram or c.a.i??
The Ram may not make as much power but it damn sure looks better.
true, not much difference between the ram and stock..expect a about a 5% increase in power with the cai when ur in the 4k rpm range...the ram is noisy..nice if u like to hear the sound of rushing air..u can get the same performance with a K&N drop in..then drill some 1/4" holes in the bottom of the airbox leaving a single whole in at the lowest point in the box for water drainage just incase..a pretty decent cold airbox without the cost and only takes a few min. s to do..the only real upside to aftermarket intakes is its fashion statement..for FI, thats another story

Im not really sure. Ive always thought that cold air intakes made much more power than the ram ones. We were screwing around cause we rented out a dyno and boy were we surprised. The AEM short ram made more peak power on a GSR than the cold air intake. Im not sure how thats possible but one of my engineering buds told me that the cold air intakes are too long and get less and less effective as the air flow goes up cause the friction in the tubes. Not sure but now I really dont know which to go with...

cai is better imo....i live in palm springs california and it rains like once a year here plus there isnt any big puddles so hydrolock is very unlikely to happen here......ive actually driven in the rain and nothing has ever happend....the ram is louder i believe but i suggest the cai

dyno's for intakes are not simulating when the car is moving, that is why u can't really dyno a short ram against a cai
