one of my friends welds for a living and he fabbed up his own test pipe and it sounds pretty good IMO. It doesn't really alter the sound too much it just makes it slightly louder.

WS2 looks better, sounds better, so I don't know if I'm right or wrong here, but it makes more power too!
WS2 ftw!

had both, sp2 is not chambered its straight through you'll make more power with that. ws2 is great for a daily cruiser.

The difference in power would be very minimal, so the other factors (look, sound) should be more important

difference in power is minimal?! one is a chambered muffler like i said above. that could be the difference between 5-10 hp on a n/a car and alot more than that on a boosted car. man the misleading info on this board is crazy.

Exhaust systems don't give a real dramatic change in power. Especially on a D series.

5-10 hp from a muffler on an otherwise stock b16a2?... yeah sure
If it was boosted, then yeah I'd say differently, but the OP said nowhere that it was. Even if it was a built n/a b16a2, I'm having a hard time believing that you'd see that drastic amount of a difference from a muffler.

well then its clear that u dont have a understanding of exhausts. original poster asked which will make more power. he didnt give a set up he just said b16. i gave him a correct ansewer in saying sp2 is better. theres really no arguement, ws2 will make less power than sp2 no matter what he has on a b16 and if he had all the bolt on's and ctr cams u will def see atleast a 5hp+ difference in the exhausts.

Well apparently you are just the exhaust God then. But I'd still rather have my WS2 (because of the looks and sound) rather than the SP2, even if it does make ~5hp more
And the SP2 would only be better in performance when comparing the two, if it even does actually make more power.
Have you personally had both exhausts dyno'd on the same car? Just because you know the differences, doesn't mean that you know the truth.
It'd be nice to hear some real stories about the two. Not trying to be a dick, but solid facts usually help in these situations

i dont have dyno charts comparing the two cause that would be dumb to pay money to have to 2 compared. ill say it 1 more time, sp2 is not a chambered muffler and the ws2 is. what more needs to be said? one is restricted and one isnt. i have had both exhausts on the same setup. dont believe me search my history i was trying to trade my sp2 muffler. i am not trying to be a dick either but i dont think u have a clue. i have owned over 10 different exhaust systems. of course i dont have comparisons of all of them but i know the differences between them all and what is good for what.

b16 with cams, intake, port and polish, and other bolt ons.

i love the sound and looks of the ws2, but he might have a point there. it is a straight through that isnt chambered. but thanks peoples.

you dont really gain power from a exhaust unless your motor is being restricted

and i will still choose the ws2 exhaust ANYDAY

My sp2 muffler just began falling apart a few weeks ago. I have had it over 4 years and it seems something in the muffler fell apart and now has a loud rattle. It looks like a long pipe with tons of holes in it is just rolling around inside. I will be buying a ws2 shortly.
