Skunk 2 lowering springs
when you put those springs on did you guys have to curve the car alot? especially on mediocre bumps? cause i may be wrong but its a 1.75 drop in front and 1.5 drop in the back? im just curious casue its the first time im ever dropping a car. hell i think the oem ride is bumpy as hell too or just that the roads in san diego suck alot haha. is there alot of clearance? i still have the OEM lip all around it seems the drops not much but i could be wrong?
thanks alot matt
much appreciated im picking the springs up tommorow kind of worried. Another question is that, even if my car is dropped that much. it has enough clearance for mechanics to do oil changes and rotating tires since it has to go on those machines with the ramps right? another is that im planning on getting 16 inch buddy club SF whit rims with the offset of 42, the tires would be 205/45 would you think it would rub?

The springs should not "wear out", but they will "settle" (some people use the incorrect word of sag) a little bit over time. As for your stock shocks, they will last but not as long at the manufacturer intended because now they are having to work a little harder being constantly compressed due to the lower hieght of the springs.
I've lowered 8 cars myself over the years and I've always told my buddies to get aftermarket shocks (Koni or KYB) to handle the extra stress of a lowered car. I personally run Ground Control and KYB's on my Civic and Koni's in the near future.
I don't plan on lowering my Fit but if I do, I'm going straight to a full coilover system from either Progress or Eibach. GC hopefully comes out with a set in the near future.
