My 92 EG Sedan. Finally decided to keep and start building. more pics and info + GSR seat install + Mishimoto Rad Install on page 2! New Valve Cover on page 4! please leave comments or advice as im still learning...



ok guys parts finally started coming in and im just setting up a thread for when the real build begins. As of now i have installed:
1. an Autopage RF-420 alarm system(make some noise) and fuel pump kill switch(not saying where).

2. Kicker 12" Comps in a custom box and 300.1 mono amp mounted on back of seat.

3. Refurb PIONEER DEH-P5000UB, just got today, will install tommorow.

4. New DURALAST GOLD battery *no pic yet*

5.NGK GP spark plugs put in and VISION MOTORWORKS 10.2mm Spiral Core Wire Set(black) on order.

6. F1 RACING Stage 1 Clutch and Lightweight 8.5lb Chromoly Steel Flywheel.

7. 99 EX 5pd Tranny for $120 and 95 EX for $50 off craigs. *no pic yet*

8. Red/Smoke Clear taillights. Supposed to be delivered today. fedex probably stole, filing a claim...

9. Stainless Steel Catback+Stainless Steel Header+Test Pipe.

10. SPOON style Carbon Fiber(fake) power mirrors, yea i know ill get blasted for being a ricer. waiting on delivery.

11. already have timing belt, tensioner, and water pump waiting to be put on also.

thats it for now. i have suspension in the works but no decision yet. will also be doing a full rebuild of block and head as i plan on going turbo, but thats still getting sorted out so no parts picked yet.

yup. ill keep posting. Planning on going to 225hp with the lowest boost possible as this is my daily driver.

 

if u plan on going turbo sometime why did you buy a new header ,cat,and exhaust waste of money In my opinion should have just saved that since you will be needing a T manifold and a down pipe connecting to most likely a new exhaust

because its just an ebay noise maker that i bought as a set to mellow me as i drive home. its going to take me atleast a year to buy all the parts picked and ordered because i like to do everything at once. not pull my motor and have it apart for 10 months while i find and buy parts and do everything... although maybe i will buy a D16Z6 i saw on craigslist and build that and just keep my cars engine as it is until im done building.

 

any of this not from ebay? lol

Well the alarm and sub kit are from a local audio shop. but everything else is from ebay. ive bought pioneer navigation systems, phones, shoes, and car accesories and hav never had a problem with them. as long as u research and find good honest sellers you can find great stuff.

 

ok just bought an antenna block-off plate since mine is broken off and im going with XM radio on the new pioneer anyways.

 

ok i installed my radio. came with usb cable and ipod cable. will take some pics tommorow when i run my usb cable how i want...

 

the pioneer deck looks nice but is a pain in the *** to use. i put one in my accord after i sold my civic. i had a alpine in my civic and it was soooooooo easy to use, i wish i spend the extra $50

 

Yea i was like WTF when i started setting the stations and stuff. its not really bad, just different than most redios ppl(including me) are used to.

 

yeah just wait untill you hook up your ipod and want to scroll through diff bands......................let the yelling at your radio begin

 

^^ do u know if it works with an iphone? because thats what i have... i gotta try it tommorow. it probably does just that itll have limited controls like some ipod docks huh?

 

that exhaust is guna be hella loud, ebay catbacks are rapsy and farty trust me i had one i just bought a vibrant muffler and welded it on sounds extra nice now

 

yesss sir it works with an iphone because thats what i have lol. just turn on airplaine mode when you plug it is so you donr get thoes stupid beeping noises when you get a txt. if you switch it over to "manual" control you have full control over your iphone, not the radio.

 

yea like i stated in a post above i know its a fart can. ill probably go with a APEX muffler later onoce i finish doing other stuff.

 

oh awesome. and do i use the usb cable or the aux cable?
