how did u guys mount ur traction bars?

how did u guys mount ur traction bars?
does this look like it will be functional?
i got mine in today and it came with 2 brackets no directions and the brackets dont seem to mount up to anywhere.... just wanted to kno if this will work

that bolt looks way to long to me for some reason. When I had mine on the rod ends sat flat on the control arm.
Like this minus the extra blot and conector.
