Default Is this new motor mount defective/unusable?

Right side = OEM (with a poly insert to keep it together).
Left side = DEA A6545

The upper tab on the DEA one is definitely off position-wise and in terms of the angle.
This isn't intentional is it? The one pictured is the 2nd one I ordered because I the first one was fucked up and had to return it, but that one also had the angled and weirdly positioned tab.

Would the bolts reshape the little ******?

Edit: the metal outside interferes with the MT.
I don't wanna add washers... Nor do I want to grind or shave the mount.
Anyone else been in this situation before?
Bolt holes are lined up in this picture:

Looks like you got a mount for the AT. I ran into this a long time ago; if the parts shop/site you bought from shows compatibility for AT and MT with the same part, they're wrong. Good luck - I eventually gave up and bought Energy inserts.

I didn't get a good pic, but it's much more torn up than the image suggests. It's being held together basically by the poly inserts the previous owner put in.

Since the job is so simple and mounts are relatively cheap, I thought I'd give it a shot in replacing it instead of relying on the bandaid fix the poly inserts give.

i filled my cracked front mount with rubber pieces and its fine. its a bushing, replacing it with "new" rubber isnt going to affect its job. the car feels better when this bushing is filled anyway. most noticable in shifting.

i wouldnt bother replacing it. but whatever, your car.

I just heard it's slightly more comfortable. There's a vibration at idle thats just kinda annoying, and I assume that the poly inserts may be contributing to it based on the things I've read.

I could keep googling it, but I'm very curious to see if it improves it. If it doesn't seem to change or if it's worse with the new mount, I'll be out only a few bucks. I'll just put the old one back in, and learn from it I guess.

But the car is more for summer daily driving at the moment.

Thanks for the link, I actually did read some of that a little while ago.
