Ls/ vtec or D16a6 turbo?
it depends very much so on how much boost and what type of turbo you're using. assuming you leave the engine stock, and you run a 57 trim t3/t4 on 7-8 psi, you will not be beating any ls-v's. build the d to handle more boost then sure you'll be faster. of course by the time you build a turbo d that can beat an ls-v, you probably could of built an ls-v. so really either way you go is fine. just think of what kind of mods you may want to do in the future, and take into consideration what you feel comfortable doing.

Well my friend has an Ls/Vtec in his DC2 and this is what he sad. He really hates it because he is still turningito and it's really hard to get the timing right on it.
But me I would go with the D16a6 turbo... I this like the Single cams

i am a BIG d series fan but if u have a tight budget than u should go lsV, b cuz turbo is a pain in the *** if u do it the cheap way. plus u would probally need 2 push atleast 10 lbs of boost to kill lsv
psi doesn't mean anything unless you are talking about a specific turbo.
I think going b-series on the cheap is going to cost more than a decent d-series turbo.
Search around for D-series builds using Vitara piston. Throwing down 300hp on the cheap is totally possible.
I've seen a few videos of people puting down some mean power with the d-series. I'm ethier gonna do a d16a6 or a JDM D15. I just wanna do a low budget B-series killer and possible keep up with the guys i work with who drive a 07 si with greddy turbo and Evo 8 tuned out
a6 is probly better for boosting stock to the d15b. but if you want vtec d15b i know a few people that have ran max of 10 to 11 pounds with a 14g or super 16g turbo. they made around 300 and ran high 13s and low 13s with a good tune.
