was it burning oil before you swaped the parts you may have instaled the oil pump wrong or your piston rings are cracked did you instal all parts correctly?

when i first got the car, it had a bad crank seal and was leaking from there. i initially thought it was a bad oil pan gasket so i put in a new oil pan gasket and then did my crank seal. no more leaks but my oil light would constantly come on wen(ex. i would drive 50 freeway miles take an off ramp then my oil light would start flashing, oil level was low wen i checked so i put in a few quarts and drive back 50 more freeway miles and oil light comes back on) so i thought it was my oil pressure sensor. pulled one from the junk slapped it in and the oil light still doing the same ****, so now im thinking its my oil pump. so i put in a new oil pump. i took everything off and put it back in the order i took it off. no more oil light but it burns my whole oil tank in 500 miles now. i was using 10w30, then 20w50 and it still burns the same jus that the 20w50 takes a lil while longer.........

****.****.****. i should of jus kept my ef....lmao......wat do i do now?

If it has no leaks, my vote goes to bad piston rings.

Do you ever look in your rear view mirror? Have you noticed any thick clouds of smoke behind you while driving?

sounds like it needs rings really really bad. how many miles are on it? n did someone try turboing it n didn't know what they were doing. sounds like rings are bad or if it was turboed at one point n not tuned it probably cracked the ring land on your pistons and who knows till its apart but it probably did more then that. sounds like your gonna have to tear it apart to really tell

the guy i traded with said he went ls vtec then back to gsr. so im guessing the bottom block was ok. but there doesnt seem to be a lot of smoke at warm idle, only on a cold start up. and my buddy mechanic said it could be bad rings or valve guides. so wat should i do first? my rings or valve guides?

pull them plugs theyll tell u wher all that oils going for sure. If u got bad rings ull have some major oil fouling going on if ther clean then u could hav a bad head gasket. Also check ur oil pressure.

bad rings i'm guessing. if it was a bad headgasket, it wouldn't burning or eating that much oil in 500miles? i was running a leaking headgasket for 6 months and my oil still stayed on good level.

Good call on pulling the plugs. Shine a flashlight down there too and see what you can see of the top of your pistons.

If the head gasket is blown, other things to look for would be coolant and oil mixing - and possible hard starts right after shutting of the engine.

i would do a leakdown test to see whether or not it's the valve guides or the piston rings. i have a feeling it may be the valve guides, because you said it smokes more during start up than idle.
