have you tested the pins at the injectors to make sure they are getting power?

I would get out a multimeter and start checking for power signals to try to determine where you are still getting a signal. Its possible it could have shorted the injector resistor box as well.

so check:
1. Signal at the injectors
2. Signal before the injector resistor box
3. Signal at the ECU

that should narrow it down for you a bit.

it might be best to leave the connectors plugged in and just poke a safety pin through the wire to get your signal so the circuit stays complete.
