Default B18A1 into 92 CX hatch

Okay so i searched and couldnt find any relevant info on the B18A1 LS into a 92 CX hatch. Recently found a B18A1 longblock and head for 50 bucks that my buddy is getting rid of..Currently my hatch has a Z6 swap in it..my plans for the B18A1 are LS/Vtec with B16 head..but i have some questions regarding the the swap itself.

--What harness can i use? Can i use my Z6 harness?
--Can i use a Hydro tranny with the OBD-0 motor?
--What axles and ECU to run?

And any other things that i may need to knw for this swap?

i have read up on basically everything about the B18B1 swap into the CX hatch but i couldnt find any info on the B18A1 swap into the CX..so sorry for the questions..this is my first B series build.

Thanks guys.

its pretty much the same swap as a b1. yes u can use a hydro tranny on it. if ur going vtec right away yes u can use the p28 and chip it. you can use any b18 axles pretty much the same thing. ill let someone answer ur other Qs.

yea i was thinking it was just basically the same as the B1 swap...but i wasnt sure just because its OBD-0 well i guess OBD-0 doesnt really matter since i will be running a B16 head lol thanks for the info dog!

uhh na its not gonna matter im in no rush to swap it in..its just something to do on the side and build with. and it doesnt matter if its old and run down..im taking it to school to get hot tanked and checked for sleeve alignment and send it off to get honed.

Soooo anyone have any "TIPS or useful info" that i should also need to knw?

Yes. that has an obd0 dizzy and you will need to source an obd1 dizzy.

You can use the z6 harness and just leave the vtec plugs to the side for now. That is the same harness I have used on a B16, B18 LS, GSR, and now on my H2B (added and lengthened a few wires)

If you stay obd0 injectors you will need an injector resistor box. My suggestion is source some B series obd1 or newer injectors (all same 240cc) that way you won't have to hack your harness.

Run an obd1 LS ecu for now or chip your P28 and run a P75 map on it. Thats what I did.

Those should be your biggest obstacles.

94-01 Rear L bracket and linkage, and B axles will work. If you go 94 or newer driver axle you will have to get the intermediate shaft as well they mount the axles different. 1 female 1 male.
Stay away from del sol linkage it won't work its too long.

Your cx as you already know is prewired to shock tower for vtec so no adding wires for that.

You can run a hydro tranny but if that motor has a clutch on it you may quite possibly need to change it to a clutch for a hydro tranny.
I think they are different between cable and hydro??? The flywheel doesn't matter as long as its a B-series.

Hope that helps you.

Actually when i looked at the motor it had a flex plate on it so it came out an automatic

So i can run any OBD-1 B series distributor?

And no im not going to be using the LS head im switching the head so the injector problem isnt an issue i will be running a B16 head.
