tire suggestions
I have a 94 prelude and I have a set of 16x7 rims Im going with a 215/45/16 tire and I was was wanting to know what a good all around summer high performance tire would be with a decent price tag any suggestions would help
215/45-16 is too small in diameter for a '94 Prelude. You're better off getting 205/50-16 tires for your car (particularly if it's a base Prelude, but even if it's an Si or VTEC model).
If you want the absolute best traction on dry pavement, and you don't care all that much about how long your tires last, I recommend the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, $113/tire in 205/50-16 with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct. It's the stickiest street tire you can get on dry pavement; it's decent in rain but maybe not the very best. It might last you 15-20K miles.
If you want a tire that lasts a bit longer (20-35K) and does a bit better in rain, you might consider the Pirelli PZero Nero, which the Tire Rack has on closeout in 205/50-16 for $83/tire plus shipping. Another good choice for a longer-lasting tire (25-40K) that does well in rain is the Yokohama S.drive, $96/tire in 205/50-16 with free shipping from Discount Tire Direct.
Since you mentioned "summer tire", I assume you will not be using these tires on snow, and have winter tires (or another vehicle) to use in snow and frigid cold.
